A group of twenty members from People First along with Kim and Janet Davis, Joe Muri, and Mike Kofford enjoyed a BBQ and swim on Bitterroot Lake last Saturday. Members from the Kalispell Kiwanis Club welcomed the group with hot dogs and hamburgers, then treated everyone to a pontoon boat tour. It was May 4th and 5th of this year that visitors to the Gateway Community Center were treated to a Star Wars theme as multiple booths displayed Wookies and Death Stars during the event. After completing 11 hours of competition, the 31st Big Wheels Basketball Tournament crowned the “Mad Dogs” team as champions from the 12 teams who entered. Everyone had a great time and Special Friends greatly appreciates the support of volunteers and local organizations.
