Special Friends Advocacy is a small, local, 501(c)3 nonprofit organization in Kalispell, Montana. The mission of Special Friends Advocacy is to improve the lives of community members with disabilities. Special Friends strives to provide community awareness and inclusion of these individuals in activities throughout the area.
Special Friends Advocacy provides a safe and friendly meeting environment for community members and gatherings of the local People First chapter. The People First organization is comprised of community members with developmental, (intellectual) disabilities. Special Friends plays a part in organizing social gatherings that are important in including these individuals in the community. Outings may be to local parks and beaches or to Glacier Park for a picnic. Other gatherings may be to go bowling, have an art or painting class or maybe watch a movie and play bingo.
Special Friends Advocacy welcomes volunteers to join our community. There are a variety of opportunities available to make a difference.
